Question

Unlike normal male population, I like growing long hair. I also want to join IPS or CBI after my degree. Cant I become a police or CBI with long hair?

Every Govt. Service has it's own set of rules on personal appearance of it's employees.Pl look it up and if there is nothing against keeping long hair than go ahead and keep it. However, personally I feel during the selection-process and during the junior days, no senior sitting across will appreciate someone with long hair maybe simply because as a matter of personal prejudice developed over the years of his own service probably as long hairs are presumed to be associated with a lack of discipline.So probably, not only will you have difficulty crossing the Selection-stage but also may be the butt of ridicule in the earlier years,merely for keeping long hair.Also, since these are highly disciplined wings of the government involving a lot of interaction with people at an official level and also involving a certain degree of discretion in appearance and also in uniform, even on that count you might appear incongruous in that type of set up.

you canot became a CBI or a Police officer with a long hair because it is against the rule and decency. and think if some criminal hold yor hair while fighting then what happen

You can't in the police, but I'm not sure about the CBI, I think they have the undercover division where its allowed. But to enter I think you'd still have to cut it. Not to worry, it grows back (I speak from experience).

You can only have long hair in the Police Force if you are assigned as an agent but not when your work requires you to wear a uniform.
