Yes you can take your laptop on the aircraft, the TSA actually suggest that you bring it as a carry on rather then packing it in your checked luggage. I never travel without mine!

Yes you can. Make sure it is charged though because you may be asked to power it up by security so they can check that it is a working laptop. You are not allowed to have the power on until you clear 10,000 feet and the cabin crew tells you that you can use portable electronics. Same goes with your decent, they will advise you when you must power down all electronic devices.

Yes it will be fine depending on the size of the other luggage. You might even get away with the laptop bag separate if the other luggage is not that big. If it's only rug sack - you will be fine, but a big backpack wont be allowed. You can only take 2 bags on depending on their size and weight.

Yes you can, I even think they have wireless internet on a plane, but I have never been on one so I could be dead wrong about the internet but I know you can take a labtop on a plane.

You can, but it must be switched off (not on standby) during take-off and landing, also be prepared to have to switch it on when passing through security. The same goes for all electronic equipment, except cell/mobile phones - they must remain switched off throughout the flight.
