I have always wanted to go to NYC, and we will be there for 2 full days, and want to see as much as possible. Any suggestions on what we should do, and how to see as much as humanly possible in such little time?

Times Square, a stroll along 5th Avenue (Macy's, Tiffanys, Rockefeller Center - skating) and into Central Park, a hotdog from a street vendor, a show on broadway, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, the Metropolitan Museum.

The problem with only 2 days is that many of the sites will have long lines that will suck up much of your time. I would stick to walking around and just enjoying the hustle and bustle of the city.

Have fun!!

Grab a map and start plotting your stops now. Get to Grand Central Station and work your way from there. Divide your activities based on your personal priorities and their availabilities. For example, you might really want to see Times Square, but only at night so you can enjoy the lights, plan your day so it is so. Buy all-day subway tickets. They save you money and time. The subway, by the way, is the best way to get around. Trail your stops in order, so you're not going back and forth all day, and remember to set times for your meals, otherwise you'll throw your whole day off. Mix and match long and short activities for each day. For example, you might want to schedule your visit to the Statue of Liberty for one day and a Broadway show for the next. Don't schedule both for the same day since they are both very time-consuming. Don' be afraid to ask locals for suggestions on restaurants and other activities, since they have the inside scoop and they are used to it. I hope this helps.

Definitely do a Broadway show. Go to the discount ticket booth at Times Sq. (there's also one at the Fulton St.) for a great selection of mostly half off tickets the day of the show. They always have a grt selection so don't worry about ordering ahead unless you wat to see a particular show.

i'm assuming you will be in manhattan. you need to divide the city in half and see all you can in one half on the first day and all you can in the other half on the second day.

statue of liberty
ellis island
world trade center site
empire state building
times square
central park
various museums of your interest (i.e. art, history)
