Well they have been having some troubles in testing. So I think they won't dominate there first year in. They may dominate the truck series but I don't think they will dominate the Nextel cup Series.

Reality is that all the Toyota teams share knowledge as part of the Toyota team, more so than any other teams share knowledge. Toyota may come out a little shaky at the start of the season, but by the end of the year they will have 3 cars in the chase and one of them will even end up winning it.

You fans of Nascar have no clue what is in store for you, Toyota will outspend, outresearch, and outbuy every team currently on the circuit. They will dominate the sport, they will have the best engines, they will have the best drivers, they will have multiple championships within 3 years, they will not accept failure in this series. You may want to look at some other American series' like the IRL, and CHAMP series, where the big 3 realized they couldnt compete, and pretty much left the series because the foreign companies would outspend and outresearch the American companies.

Think what you want about it happening in NASCAR, but remember you heard it here first Toyota will be a factor this year, and the next, and the next and they will win two out of three of the next titles if not all three.

Be prepared for the revolution, because the big 3 you know and love will soon be dominated by a better company.

No. They don't have the drivers. Only 2 are guaranteed a spot in the Daytona 500. The rest will have to qualify on time. Dale Jarrett is probably the only Toyota driver with a chance to win a race this year. Toyota drivers include Jarrett, Dave Blaney, Michael Waltrip, Jeremy Mayfield, and Brian Vickers plus some rookies. This is hardly an all-star lineup. I think in 2-3 years Toyota will have the money to lure top Ford, Chevy, and Dodge drivers away and then they will be very competitive. Just don't look for that in 2007.

No, they won't this year.
They have all new teams (except #22 BDR) with Dave Blaney and #44 Dale Jarrett (Driving for MWR) the only ones guaranteed a spot in the Daytona 500. I don't think that more than 4 of the 8 teams will even make the race.

There is a huge learning curve to starting up in the NASCAR series, and it takes time to figure it all out. Toyota will put the time, money, research and developement into it, and will be contending for the chase in a few years. But, it won't happen this year.

I wouldn't expect them to be very dominant. They are new to the sport (although they have been in the Craftsman Truck Series), all the teams are new (save for Bill Davis, but what has he ever won?), and their roster of drivers isn't that impressive. Sure, DJ won a Cup and Mikey won a Daytona or 2, but they are past their prime. The rest are never-weres. For the money they have poured into this effort, I think Toyota brass will be less than satisfied at the end of the season.

No, I do not believe that they will dominate in year 1.

I think that Toyota will be dominating the Nextel Cup series in about 3-5 years (Like they have done in the Truck Series)

NO! Not because they aren't good or because they don't have enough money. But simply because they don't really have any drivers. They have good drivers from a few years ago and they have drivers that may become better in the next few years but this is certainly not the year for them to be winning. They will bring manufacture team work to NEXTEL like no one has ever seen and "MIGHT" win A race this year. They would be even luckier if they could get A driver into the Chase. But I see this as a trial and error year and maybe next year you will truly see their competitiveness.

I'm not sure I really care anymore. NASCAR used to be the greatest show on earth, ... the last few years its become lame. Race for the chase, ... lucky dog laps, ... and Toyota, have ruined the sport for me.

No, they are already in trouble, they forgot that it take several weeks to get a new engine shipped from Mr. Kogimoto in Tokyo. They will be lucky to make most of the races because as I see it, they have no drivers worth a hoot right now. Maybe Little E should switch over and help them.
