The bible is fiction. They didn't know about dinosaurs back then, so it stands to reason the authors wouldn't have talked about them.

If evolutionary theories are true, then the dinosaurs existed millions of years before anyone in the Bible lived or any part of it was written. Since the majority of the Bible is accounts of people's lives and their encouter with God, and those people would never have had seen a dinosaur (or know they existed) why would they have mentioned them?
There do appears to be referrences to creatures the fit the description of dinosaurs (leviathan and behemoth for two). But of course since the word "dinosaur" was not created until until the late 1800's, it is not used in the Bible.
There are many things not mentioned in the Bible. Usually because they were unimportant to the plan of salvation. So since the book already runs into 66 volumes with over 3.6 million words, why add more about unimportant things?

I agree with Earl D that the bible is not a science text book....but its a pretty glaring omission considering Adam & Eve get a mention and Dinosaurs and humans were not on the planet at the same time. Maybe they will get a mention in the Prequil.

what is it with you and dinosaurs man??
Obviously when the bible was wrote man did not know that dinosaurs existed as they did not have the technology to put the fossils together as we do now.
surely the dinosaurs came under the god created the animals in the sea and on the land heading, they were animals afterall. I dont mind people who have different religions everyone can have their own opinion I dont think any should be ridiculed do you agree.??

There is no mention of giraffes or gorillas either, and the people of biblical times actually knew about them! Why would there be referrences to animal species which the biblical writers were not even aware of???
Biblical scholars recognize the reference to "Behemoth" as a description of the hippopotamus, and "Leviathan" as the crocodile, even though some imaginative individuals try to force these passages to refer to dinosaurs, an impossible reference since dinosaurs were totally unknown to biblical writers. On the few occasions when a giant bone was accidentally discovered, they attributed it to an extinct race of giant humans, not giant reptiles.

Actually, there IS mention of dinosaurs in the Bible. It's in JOB 40:15-24:
"Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox. What strength he has in his loins, what power in the muscles of his belly! His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are close-knit. His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like rods of iron. He ranks first among the works of God, yet his Maker can approach him with his sword. The hills bring him their produce, and all the wild animals play nearby. Under the lotus plants he lies, hidden among the reeds in the marsh. The lotuses conceal him in their shadow; the poplars by the stream surround him. When the river rages, he is not alarmed; he is secure, though the Jordan should surge against his mouth. Can anyone capture him by the eyes, or trap him and pierce his nose?"

Quite simple, really. After they all died, the word "dinosaur didn't exist anyway" the word was created when they were discovered in the modern era. Nonetheless, the Bible does say that "giants" were upon the Earth, or something like that.

I thought he did...all creatures great and small. Don't get confused, God didn't write The Bible. Dinosaurs lived hundreds of millions of years ago.
