My Sister-In Law Is NASTY to me!!!!?

i work with my sister in law and for some reason she says so many nasty things to me. Everyone says it's becasue shes jealous of me and what i have - but i've worked so hard for what i have and she won't work at all! It's hard becasue this is my husbans sister! She's family! UGH!* Why would someone say so many hateful things to someone? I've always been so nice to her! HELP!*!**!*!*

Some people are just nasty. They can't help it, and they don't want to help it. Do yourself a favor and get another job. I'm sure you've spoken to your husband about this, is this her normal behavior? Have you ever asked her why she feels she has to pick on you all the time? Personally, I would confront her and ask her what her problem with you is. Maybe she just needs to be called on the carpet for what she's doing. You don't have to go into the confrontation with a bad attitude, but I would certainly address it. Then the next time she says something mean or nasty, right then and there, ask her why she thought that comment was necessary. The more you put up with this behavior, the more you're going to get. If she knows you have a backbone, maybe she'll back down a bit, at least. Too bad we can't pick our families. Good luck.

I don't work with my sister in law but I'm in the same boat you are. Some people you just can't please. Just continue being nice to her and try not to let what she says hurt. 9 times out of 10 the person is hurting for some reason and no matter what you do or how nice you are they will continue to be unkind to you. But the nicer you are, the less reason they will have to dislike you. You could always try talking you your husband and see if he will have a chat with her.

Your first mistake was working with your sister in law, why would you do that, what were you thinking? Put some space between you and your sister in law, she obviously has a problem with you, for whatever reason, and you can't stop her talking about you but you don't have to listen to it either. I'd talk to your husband about it, whether it's his sister or not, just to see where he stands.

Just because she's EXTENDED family doesn't mean you have to put up with her crap! No one regardless of their ties to you has the right to mistreat you in any way. Without being disrespectful or putting yourself in any danger, simply ignore her completely. don't give in to her subtle ways of tugging at your inner most feelings. Tell your husband what your intentions are but do not be dissuaded from carrying out your plan. He is your husband and owes you much more respect, support, love and loyalty than he does any member of his immediate family.

i totally understand what your going through because i went through it too...the best thing that i suggest is to be the better woman that you been being and kill her with kindness because if she is anything like my sister-in-law then they could never have the heart that we got...and yes it is jealousy.....i get hits like that too...just the other day matter of fact....if you feel like its too much then tell your husband to tell his sister something or you just do it...

Confront her! Calmly take her aside and ask her what you did? If that doesn't change anything then ignore it! I know it can be hard to do but what other choice do you have?

fu#k her don't talk to her anymore you teach people how to treat you and you are teaching her that its ok to treat you like a piece of trash.Tell her to go to hell and don't talk to you anymore don't make a scene or start alot of drama just be done with it.....
