Yes, to some extent. Light has a negative effect on beer, so bottles that are clear or light don't do enough to protect the beer. dark glass (brown or green) is best.

In an aesthetic sense, no. If however you look at the possibility of storage methods affecting taste then yes. If beer is stored for a period of time incorrectly in an area with a lot of light, then beer in a clear or light coloured bottle will change it's taste more quickly than a darker bottle that doesn't allow as much light in.

I think they use different bottle colours so people have an idea of what kind of beer is in the bottle. For example, every skunky beer is always in green bottles (Heineken, Becks, Moosehead, Stella etc). Brown bottles are for your regular lagers etc. Clear bottles are for the lighter tasting beers that would be good with lemon (Corona, MGD etc).
I don't know which came first, if the green helps the skunkiness or whatnot, but you can somewhat foresee the flavour with the colour of glass.

Uv light will age the beer faster, bottles that reflect light the flavor of the beer will last longer along with the shelf life.

Green glass lets in different light so yes it makes the beer taste different. Brewers use this process on purpose because one man's skunk is another man's treasure.
