Tea should be brewed with boiling water then remove the tea bag/leaves and add the milk to your taste.
Coffee should have the milk added first so you don't burn the coffee with boiled water if not added milk the water should be left a while after boiling.

Yuck, why would you put milk in your tea?
That must be a regional thing, to me that sounds disgusting. People don't really add anything to tea here, no milk or sugar or anything, just the tea bag & hot water and there you go. I'm from the Northwest US, maybe the rest of you are from the UK or something?

People from different parts of the world like it different.
We guys from the subcontinent ..... I'm from Bangladesh ...... we like it real strong. We get it from tea leafs ..... freshly brewed. Usually tea bags are not strong enough. Then we add enough sugar and plenty of condenced milk. That's the best.
The only tea bag that works for me is the PG Tips by Brooke Bonds. Lemme give you a quick recipe .... this is the most hassle free I got. I put two tea bags in the coffee mug ..... microwave it for 2 mins and 30 secs at high power. Then I squeeze the juice out of the tea bags and throw them. Add a teaspoon of sugar and one teaspoon full of condenced milk (GV or Carnation).
I hope that helps you.

I would normally leave the tea-bag in after putting in the milk. The extra flavour really works wonders!

that is an previous formed theory to positioned milk interior the cup first, in 'the former days' - noticeably with superb bone china - cups were liable to crack in case you position boiling water instantly into them, so human beings positioned milk in first to relax the water. ideally, water should be at one hundred c to make tea, once you've milk interior the mixture, that is going to in common words be at ~ eighty c or a lot less in case you pick to make certain the enormous difference that a cooler liquid will make, attempt making a cup of tea with chilly water and see the enormous difference interior the how the tea essence is taken up through the water With cutting-area cups (or in case you take advantage of a teapot) you may upload boiling water on to the tea and get the great element about drawing the completed essence from the tea. milks should be further later

The best way to brew tea is:
Put the tea bag your hot water for 3-5 min.(to let steam)
Take it out
And then add milk to your taste.
DON'T leave the tea-bag in when you put milk in, because it changes the flavor of the tea drastically.

Brew tea separately in tea pot
add milk to tea cup
pour brewed tea from pot to tea cup over the milk.
This avoids scalding the milk. My grandmother taught me that years ago.

You should make tea in a teapot - let it brew for a little while. Put a little milk in your cup or mug and then pour the tea in to the cup/mug. Don't add milk to your tea, add tea to your milk!
