Please google a Pug Rescue Group. You will find a Pug and chances are if the foster parent doesn't live in San Diego they will arrange to get the dog to you in San Diego. Thank you for wanting to rescue a dog from a shelter.

Well I did a quick search for pugs on Gosasa and I'm surprised that pugs can be so expensive. This looks like a cute little guy though:

It's not a great idea to get a dog for someone if they themselves have not seen it or spent time with it. Not all dogs are compatible with all people.
