Oh, it's not that hard. That's a nice, slow, reasonable goal. So, first of all congratuations on having such reasonable expectations. Next, I'd suggest "Weight Watchers" because it gives you a points system and NOTHING is off limits. It's easy to follow and you have friends/meetings you can go to for support and encouragement. You can even make "workout buddies" and either go to the gym together or go for walks so the exercise doesn't get boring.
I wouldn't waste my money on Jenny Craig because all they do is send you pre-packaged food, and thats no different than going to the grocery store and buying a bunch of "lean cuisines" for breakfast, lunch and dinner. At least with "Weight Watchers" you have freedom: you can go out to dinner or cocktails, cook, or have a "Lean Cuisine".
Just remember the most painful part: regardless of what diet plan you go on, you still have to excercise. I know. I know. I don't like it either, but you have to do it because if you don't you will lose muscle. When you get on the scale it might say you are 5 pounds lighter - but how do you know if that 5 pounds you lost is fat and not muscle? Also, the more muscle mass you have- the more fat you will burn because muscle needs to burn more calories to survive than fat. I'm not saying go out and be a body builder - just try to get in a 30 minutes workout a couple of times a week or go for a walk.
And remember to drink a lot of water to keep that metabolizm going and to flush all that fat and toxins that the fat is releasing out of your system.
Good luck! I know you'll reach your goal!

It isn't all that hard to lose weight and at the same time still eat well. Personally I have lost more than 35 pounds in 3 months and I feel good.
What I did was simply exercise and eat properly. I cut out salt first off, learned to read labels on foods so I avoid the fats and I eat more fruits and veggies.
A regular brisk walk every day for at least an hour along with lifting some weights keeps me active enough to burn calories and get back in shape. If you can, go talk to a nutritionist or a dietician about food and a trainer about what types of things you can do for yourself.
Simple truth is, diet pills, fad diets or not eating won't help and don't do any good for you or your body.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

How fat are you? If you're overweight, it should be easy. If you have less than 20% body fat, then don't go so fast about it. If you're not fat, maybe you shouldn't try to loose weight in the first place.

That is a very realistic goal! Usually, doctor's say not to lose more than 10lbs a month.

Im sure you can but dont detriment your health in the process. If its an issue of self-esteem, dont worry about it, dont try to be someone that you want others to see you as. Whats most important is that you can learn to be happy with yourself.
