I know of no blood bank that refuses blood for infectious mononucleosis.

I had mono when I was an infant, my aunt came in from out of state gave me a big kiss and also mono.
Back in the 60's I was in the military and was sent to viet nam, I volunteered to give blood for my fallen brothers in arm but was told that I couldn't because I had mono earlier in life, BUMMER.
But remember this was back in the 60's

No, you are not banned for life, but you have to be recovered from mono for 6 or months or more to be able to donate. Check with your blood bank about their requirements.
