Since this is your first and I certainly hope it will be your last one, I'll tell you. This is not something that you should continue to do either as it is damaging to the enamel of your teeth. Suck on a piece of lemon or swish some lemon juice around in your mouth. Do this after brushing, flossing and gargle with a mouth wash. Hope you learned your lesson, it's a nasty habit to take up and a hard one to quit. Good luck!

Forget about your breath!!!!!!!! The smell is coming from your lungs. The lungs that you have to live with for the rest of your life. Don't start smoking !!!!!!! You can use any mouth wash or gum and then wash your hands and face. That should take care of the external problem, but the real problem is why you would want to start something that has caused some much pain and death to those who do smoke. Be free and clean.

Don't smoke!

The only way I've found to get rid of cigarette breath is to simply not smoke. Chewing a piece of gum isn't going to help, neither is listerine or any other mouthwash. It won't hurt, but ... they only mask the smoke not remove it.

I'm a smoker who shouldn't be smoking.

congrats buddy... and on the subject of quitting, dont let any1 persuade u to quit smoking or to start smoking. u know the facts, uve been told over and over again the consequences etc, but u r the only one that makes the decision to do it or not; its all personal preference. just make sure if u continue doing cigs that u do them in moderation... i smoke once every couple of months. that doesnt impact u at all; the people that are greatly affected are the ones that smoke very frequently. Its like saying, I eat chocolate, but once every couple of months. Do i get fat? No. The person that gets fat is the one who eats chocolate every day. Get what i mean? Anyways, good luck and have fun

chewing gum, any sweets or candy or even mints that are strong. Usually chewing gum works well, lollypops. hmm yeah you shud stop smoking, feels great, but when ur my age, try running up a flight of stairs after 4 yrs of smoking. quit while you still can.

hmmm.... i know that all these ppl want u to quit smoking ... that's true u got to ... mainly cuz ur lung capacity decreases ... but dude it's got it's advantaes....smoking is protective against ulcerative colitis and parkinsonism how about that... and if u have this ulcerative colitis some docs even give u cigs ;)

to ur question the main problem is the tongue ... try brushing ur tongue especially the back with some paste ... and when ur speaking or near someone after u smoke don't even think about breathing

Given the knowledge we have now about what smoking does to you, only a really stupid self-hating loser would take up the dirty habit today.

Brush your teeth.

Accept the fact that much of this odor is coming from the fresh tar deposits in your lungs. It will take a day or two to completely dissipate.
