The war will probably end five to eight years from now. How will it end? Most like a very slow and gradual withdrawal of U.S. troops.

The U.S. forces will leave Iraq devasted, disorganized, and in utter chaos.

However, Iran and the other neighbors of Iraq might step in and help rebuild the country. I'm not certain how the U.S. would react to that. I'm guessing they won't like it.

wow this is tough, who knows when, but the how is for Iraqi's to step up and take back their country, starting with kicking out Iran and disarming Sadr. This is the beginning of security.
