is this product really good? or does anybody have better suggestions?

I use the Learnables. I am on year 2 with my kids. I chose this because they have 5 years of it, as vs the 2-3 years other programs have. It seems to me that Rosetta Stone and Learnables get the top marks. They are both expensive. Is there any way you could buy a cheap beginner's program first to see if you are going to be able to make the time to stay with it, then invest in a costlier program when you have proven that you are going to have time?

If you are busy , then you will buy it and probably use it just for 2 or 3 days.

I suggest you to go to a class. It will help you bootstrap yourself in that labguage and then you will be able to decide if you prefer to continue the calss or something else.

I have roseta stones for about 10 languages, yet I have not learned more than 2 languages :)

Try your local library. Some have access to Rosetta Stone online so you can try it and see if you like it.

I'd suggest Pimsleur

It's just audio, but it's put together really well and you learn quickly and easily if you stick to it.
It's a bit expensive, but if you don't have time for language classes, it's the best way to go.
