i have "LINUX" os in comp & it is not detecting my sound card. .?

i have asus motherboard . it is not detecting my sound card .Is it posssible to get a linux sound driver for me .bcu i am not getting it
on internet.
just give me link on web.

Perhaps, you use an obsolete version of linux. Try download and install newer version with better kernel.

What is the result of lspci | grep audio???
What is the result of lsmod??
What is your distro???
Which is the kernel you are using??
