Bom Dia tambem sou Brasileira!
You can practice your English by reading and writing as much as possible. You can practice speaking English by going out alone or with a group of people who don't speak portuguese. Put yourself in situations where no one will be translating for you. This will force you to speak and listen. It's great practice. That's how my brothers and I learned, improved and perfected our English.

TV is great-
watch and repeat, watch and repeat to get correct pronunciation.

There are American and British in Brazil. Make a new friend and only talk in English to them. Tell them you need to "master" the language and correction is welcome.

Read English- Children's books- Clifford the Big Red Dog, is a good start. The subject matter is simple and easy to understand. The literature classics often have large and difficult words.

Best wishes.

The best way to learn a language is to marry someone who speaks that language. Another excellent way is to watch TV in that language. You'd be amazed at what you can pick up. You can also read newspapers and/or books in that language. Still another is to purchase a book or CD that teaches the language. You can also have a pen-pal(s) who are from UK, Canada or US. Remember that practice makes perfect. So, practice, practice, practice.

English is easy to learn. It's not like French where you have a zillion rules and regulations. Good luck.

Do what my sister did and watch little kid shows on TV. For example Seasame Street, Barney, Dora the explora...etc. Or just start reading some books. Another good thing is hang around people that ONLY speak English...that REALLY helps!!

Immerse yourself in the language - speak only English, even while at home, watch only English TV programs, read only English books etc.
