it's just that there was a question about the difference between atheism and agnosticism and the answerers had tons of Thumbs up and down.

Whether I agree with an answer or not, a well thought out arguement with evidence or great articulation shall always recieve a thumbs up from me.
On the other hand hate filled speechs with false truths and incomplete research will always recieve a thumbs down.
I believe it is only courteous to give an answer its proper due when one has spent time and effort answering any given question irregardless of their position.

I don't think so.....I'd say it's about even. Now, I haven't performed a study or anything, but it's been my experience that when answering questions out here, I (and others) have about an equal amount of ups and downs.
Certainly some may come from people who disagree with what I'm saying regardless of my "religion" and it's quite easy to annoy any number of people regardless of religion.
But if all things are relative, and without a ton of scientific (sorry, had to use that atheist term there) evidence, I'd say it's even steven.

I think atheists tend to give more thumbs up and religionists tend to give more thumbs down. That's just my observation.
I've received thumbs down for stating I was an atheist even when answering questions from a religious perspective.

I don't think its a particular group that gives the thumbs.
There are alot of dumb@sses out there who just blindly assign thumbs, and half the time, they don't even read the entire answer.

It's likely not atheists that do that for christians just as it's not christians that do that to atheists. There are people who just like to give thumbs down for no reason. I don't think it matters which "side" you're on. It happens to all of us. No big deal IMO.

There's no way to know, since it's anonymous, but I personally believe the opposite to be true. It seems to me I get the most thumbs down when I answer Xians.

Probably not. It's trolls and religious fanatics that probably do it the most. I also think more women tend to do it than men. More women are ultra conservative ultra liberal or prone to getting ruffled feathers than as men.
