ECHO
Like most hounds as she grows she will totally ingnore you & do her own thing.
I keep beagles my first one was called ECHO to remind my husband of Liverpool as in local paper The Echo.
The name turned out to very apt as you could scream blue murder at her & to no effect it may well have been an echo.

i love basset hounds- my wife wouldn't go for it- the drool thing. but anyway, i always think a good country name-
boy- zeb, jed, etc...
girl, something with 2 names- daisy may, bobby sue,
mary lou, etc...
