You will need a co-signer because you're still a minor

Why not look for something more practical that will get you back and forth to work and hopefully college.

Talk to your parents before making any decisions.

If you do purchase the 4-wheeler get evaluated by a mechanic before hand.

A couple of things . . .

> Why would a " friend " leave their auto behind at your place ?
> " Friend " left the state leaving behind an auto at your place with payments still to be made on that auto.
> " Friend " is not returning your calls.
> A person who was a true friend would not do this to another.
.
* * * Don't make their (your " friend ") thing...your thing.
* * * Call (contact) your friend and tell them the auto is going to be towed by a certain date.
* * * Call tow company or your local police and report an abandoned auto is at your place.
* * * You would not do this to another person . . . why let another do this to you ?
.
I'm not even going to address the age issue of your being 17 . . . I'm sure you're getting many replies regarding that.
.
I wish you well on this one and . . . also, maybe think of changing your avatar name. That name speaks of a person of a ' less than appealing ' lifestyle '.

I would think by this time that the loan company would want to repo it back. If he hasn't paid in over a year, they have been trying to locate him to get the money or the four wheeler back. You just can't take over payments when they are in default of the loan. They would have to take the bike back and you would need to discuss your own loan to get it. Tell her what you want to do and she will offer you choices.

Wazz up pimpin,I would imagine they have forclosed on the property already since it has been so long between payments or efforts to pay.Even if it is possible, which I doubt very seriously that it is,I just don't think it would be a very wise descision at all.

2 things for you to think about:
1. save money for college
2. don't pay for the 4 wheeler unless the person is a friend and/or asked you to continue to pay. with 6 g's to pay off, it's not worth it. if you go off to college, how often are you gonna use it?

Why do you want to take over the payments for something stupid your friend did? Think about it, do you want to be responsible for his actions. What happens if something back fires and it comes back to get you. THINK!

Talk to your parents. They will probably have to co-sign the new loan for you.
