Because reality sets in!

Actually its because there are stages to a relationship. The first stage is teh falling in love stage. Then reality sets in, thats stage 2, its where you see your partners flaws. This is the time when most couples split, because you see ther person for who they are not what you think they are when you are in love. Stage 3 is the decision to love stage. It's realizing that your partner is human and then making the decision to love them despite the fact that it feels like you are no longer in love.

It's never sudden, but it's a long road that when you finally snap and say wow, I didn't have any interest what so ever..Or you see the true colors of your significant other.

It's interesting if you consider it that human beings are the only species that spends with a significant other for longer then 5 years. Most mammals find new mates every year. This could be the biological aspect of it. In the magazine, Psychology Today, there is an article about how the brain tricks us on love and it is mostly chemical messages that we are addicted too. If we find that the other is not something..the chemical messages are lessened and therefore our addiction to dopamine causes our lack of interest.

If you look at it like a pedestrian..I would have to say is, you find out that you guys weren't meant to be..No same interests, or a sudden change of events (infidelity..etc)

You never just fall out of love. If you feel like you no longer love somebody it is because you never really loved them to begin with. You might have had strong feelings for somebody but that does not make it love. you loose interest because you know what this person is really like now and its not what you are interested in and you want something different.

Love in christ.

Usually when a relationship is new, the excitement and feelings of lust and desire is in the air at its highest peak, we feel as if we are on cloud nine. The experience touches all of our emotions to the highest levels. During this period if a bonding of deep friendship develop-es then the feelings we experienced will eventually lead to love. On the other hand, if true intimacy and friendship do not exist, then eventually any feelings we had in the beginning die. This is why it is important to not jump into love too quickly. Before taking that leap into sexual intimacy it is best to give the relationship a chance to grow or we run the risk of getting hurt. I hope this information has helped you to make better decisions in all future relationship you do in-cumber. Best of luck to you!

In my case - it's been because the person turned out to be different than I'd believed. I fell in love with certain qualities (honesty, compassion, playfulness) - and then realized they were not there to the degree I'd believed.

Because you don't yet understand that love isn't something that you fall into. It's something that is built over time with compassion, trust, communication, etc.

Because when we enter a relationship, first we learn about that other person. During this process, we began to learn things about ourselves. Throughout this process, we began to see what we couldn't see before or what no one could tell us.

People grow and change. Could be that you loved the person he/she was, not who they are now. Could be that you were never in love the begin with and the newness wore off as well.
