Because only a sadistic, depraved mind could have come up with the idea of Hell and only a sadistic depraved mind could preach such nonsense. Both the Inquisitors and the churches are sadistic.
And to the poster above me: A Pagan idea? Excuse me, no where in ANY Pagan religion is there anything about a fiery Hell. Sorry, but you Christians have a complete monopoly on that one.

Wrong, Fist of all, it wasnt the Chrisitan church, it was the Roman Catholic Church. They are nowhere near the same, the teachings of Roman catholicicsm and the BIble contradict each other. Secondly, I would chalenge you to give me one verse, just one, that says we go to hell, because we dont "belive in Jesus". You will find none. people do ont go to hell, simply for failing to belive, they will go to Hell, because they have sinned (transgressed 10 Commandments). Let me ask you a question, How many times have you lied in your life? How many times have you ever looked at a male or female with lust? How many timrs have you ever been angry and used Gods name in vain? These or the things which anger God, not your disbelife! if you have done these things, then by your own admission, your a lying theiving blapshmeous adulterer at heart. because God will judge by the standard of the Commandments, thats How he will see you. Now, If I broke Local Law, I might Go to Jail, if I broke state Law I would go to prision, However is I broke federal Law, I would be locked up in a Maximum security penetentary, charged as a threat to the federal Governmnt, and possibly (depening on the crime), I might be given death. God is Infinately Holy, when you sin, you dont oly break those Commandments, but you have sined against a Holy Law of a God who demands perfection i thought word and deed. His Punishment for those who have broken His Law, is hell. But heres the good news, Christ died for your sins, God poured out his wrath and punishment upon Jesus when he died on the cross, instead of pouring out his wrath upon you. You broke the Law and Jesus paid your fine. Now, you can be forgiven for your sin. Your sins can be forgiven, if you will repent (turn from sin) and trust in Jesus. The Moment you do, he wil forgive you and grant you the gift of everlasting life. I hopeyou will think about this, because there is nothing more important thatn your salvation.
God Bless
Apostle

The catholic church has no right to kill anyone because the church is not without sin. Christ Jesus will judge and His decision is final. We choose heaven or hell by disobeying the word of God. If we reject the Son of God whom God sent as ransom for us, then hell will be our home. God said "vengeance is Mine." The catholic church is not righteous enough to judge unbelievers. They do well to judge their congregation and most refuse to do that for lack of losing money for the protestant or catholic church.
Pope John Paul II apologized for the Crusades and Inquisition and hopefully their involvement with Hitler. The Popes are mere men all capable of great sin and no different from the rest of the humans. They are not to be bowed down to or worshiped. Worship God only and do not forget Shadrack, Meshack & Abednego who refused to bow down. God does not give His glory to anyone. Pray only to the Father in Jesus' name. Any other prayer is worthless. The Bible strictly tells us that we serve a jealous God and no man takes His place. And no idol takes His place. And no false god takes His place.
We must remember what Jesus said, "My house is a house of prayer." From Genesis to Revelation the Holy Bible is all about Jesus Christ. Without Jesus there is no Salvation or hope of eternal life.

That was the Catholic church. Hell was derived from communal pit for burning trash according to history. No such place.

The teaching of a fiery hell does not come from the bible. It is a pagan teaching. So those who teach such is not true Christianity.
IN Jeremiah 7:30-onwards it says God sees burning children as disgusting....it did not come up to his mind. Besides hell is simply the translation for sheol/hades which meaens grave/pit.
Revelation 20 says that Hell and Death would be thrown to the lake of fire....so the lake of fire is different from hell, which those who teaches it had combined to make up a teaching of hell that they say comes from the bible,,,but as said earlier is a pagan teahing.
Can hell and death be thrown? No, it is symbolical....meaning when thrown to the lake of fire that it will be removed..permanently.
edit: poster below: Babylonian teaching...babylon are also called pagans in the bible....if you are a wiccan I didnt mean to offend you about that....but hell of fiery torment came from those not yours as what paganism is now..

Romans 3:24-25 simply says...The cost of your sins is more than you can pay. The gift of your God is more than you can imagine.

Your question is not very brillliant. We all know that there are there are many churches who have lost the way, but they have nothing whatsoever to do with the real Christitanity.
This is all obvious and self-explanatory. What is your point.?

Judging Others
1"Judge not, that you be not judged. 2For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.

Before they made hell themselves. Now they're hoping the devil would do what they wish to happen. They're just as crazy as their forefathers
