Hi i'm 13, and weight 102 lbs. I have a high matabolism, which is bad on my behave because i'm always hungry! An on top of that i'm homeschooled, which means i can eat whenever i want! And then when i go places that eat only at breakfast, lunch, and supper, i get sooo hungry, and then my stomache starts to growl, which is so embarassing. what do you think i should do to stop my stomache from always growling and to at least slow down my hunger?!?!

P.S. I'm not fat either, i'm 13, 102 lbs, and i'm 5'6"

You are a typical, and probably quite healthy, 13-year-old. However, right about now is when a kid should visit a physician for a complete check-up. There are immense changes you'll be going through over the next seven years. They happen fast and can really leave you feeling confused and flustered. Serious medical problems sometimes develop during this phase of your life, and your doctor needs a "baseline" that he develops from a physical check-up so that if you do have to go back to him/her during adolescence, the doc has a much easier time of it figuring out what's up and what might need to be done about it.
Your being home schooled has little to do with it. Your being constantly hungry is usually just an indication of how fast you're growing, developing and changing...but it is also a symptom of Type one diabetes -which is a very serious illness, which is why you really do need a doctor to give you a physical within the next couple months. Bad news is, untreated diabetes will kill ya - good news is, nowadays it can be treated so effectively that you can live a nice long life - one without the disabilities that can come with diabetes.
So tell your mom - time for a check-up! No, I am NOT saying you HAVE diabetes - just that it is one thing you need to be checked for.

I would pack in some fiber filled fruits and veggies. Fiber will slow down your hunger sessions. Banana's and apples are a good source. Take a bottle of water with you, sip it when you start to feel "hungry".
Snacking is good, if you do it on the right foods, add 2 small snack sessions to your day, veggies on one and fruits on the other. This will help you get your 5 for 5 a day in!
Good Luck! (I wish I was a high matabolism like you!)

At age 13 I was a bottomless pit. It's normal to be hungry a lot at your age, as long as you don't start gaining weight drastically. Your body is still growing and by the time you get up to around 18 or 19 you should begin to slow down some. If you don't, go talk to a doctor about it, but until then, enjoy.

Protein is the magic ingredient to keep hunger at bay. Just a little chunk of cheese (like the size of a baby's wooden block or less) will do wonders. Have it with a fruit and 3 crackers (= half a slice of bread) and you're cookin'.
Congratulations on being home schooled.
