I have only met sweetie pie staffies. My dog trainer owns 3 rehabilitated ones and they are great dogs. It's not the dog, IT"S THE OWNER!

I LOVE staffies, such character, mine always makes me laugh. He is 13 years old now and we have had him since he was a puppy. He is a great dog and a great friend. Once my mum was taking him for a walk, she tripped half way across a busy road, a lorry was coming, our trusty staffie pulled her to the other side of the road. He pretty much saved her life.
They are loving and lovable, dopey and clever, strong yet soppy but most of all, the best breed of dog in the world!

I am not a fan of them. My reason is because i work in dog rescue and we have had more Staffies brought to us than any other breed, mainly because they are to boisterous/vicious for the owner to handle.

It doesnt help that most Staffy owners around here have never heard of a dog leash, ive only seen about 2 staffies in 8 years with responsible owners who keep them on a lead when walking the streets.

That's authentic. I've seen a staffie and to start with they are horrifying seeing that they seem like a pit bull. There's a difference to my working out, proper? Anyway, i have been in touch with poodles and they're horrible puppies, and rated some of the worst for kids. The house owners are accountable. I used to be attacked by a jack Russell as soon as and i have a scar down my nostril to strike a cord in me. I've had an american eskimo, german sheppard (I cried when she died she used to be the high-quality) then two Australian Sheppard and somewhat mut that had pit mixed with it. All the dogs had been excellent except for the person who was once blended with a pit. When we received her we did not recognize what she used to be mixed with, intent we bought her when she was once a pup(5wks) and at the pound. As soon as it obtained a bit of older I determined it chewing on my babies arm fortunately she did not get damage however it scared me and my daughter. We received rid of her the next day. In many instances i also think its breed into them to have such an aggression towards others.

I love Staffies, all the experiences I have had with them has been good, They are generally brilliant with people and especially kids as they don't mind a bit of pulling about (within reason of course) they are generally very tolerant.

Staffies are lovely dogs, it's just a shame they have a bad reputation and that most people who own them are considered to be chavs

Love them. Just wish the ignorant people who have answered about Pit Bull Terriers would not answer as they obviously know NOTHING about the breed. I don't own, never have owned & probably never will own a Staffordhire Bull Terrier, but they are a wonderful breed. Such a pity they seem to attract a minority of morons who give them such a bad name.

nothing wrong with them. You don't actually see many round my way nowadays though.

Most of the tattooed chavs, scrap merchants and drug dealers seem to prefer rotties nowadays. Fashions change!

Yes it's funny how different dogs are used by people pretending to be "hard". I can remember a time when owning 2 dobermans was all the rage.

theres nothing wrong with them as a breed its just the type of people that own them, not saying everyone that owns one is the same but where I live the majority of staffie walkers have big gold chains and burburry shirts

I must admit that i am not keen on staffies after one walked straight past my mums healthy lab and attacked my old dog that wouldn't hurt a fly.
I'm very wary of then, but i wouldn't say i hated them.
