I was diagnosed as myofacial pain, then by physio as wad 2 . I have medication called celebrex 200 mg. I am in constant pain and am very frustrated. I went to the doctor due to extreme pain. i almost received "no work" Paperwork and had to convince doc that I do feel batter to move than to sit. I have pain in my neck, arms, numb fingers, low back , hips and really sore legs. I tried to solve the problem on my own by doubling the dosage of my medication. It did not help at all. Is there something that I can take that may be better? I tried to get x rays to see what may be worse wrong did not work. Neither did asking for a chiro since they have to x ray before ... Insurance pays physio lump sum to get me back in shape, I have to wait until they use that money up before I can proceed to any other treatment, I think thats dumb.

You sound like you have a compression injury in your cervical spine. The symptoms you describe of numb fingers and pain in your neck and arms are indicative of cervical radiculopathy.

It also sounds like you received an injury to your hip and lower back. You need a lot more than celebrex which is nothing more than an anti-inflammatory, you need an MRI of your back, screw the x-rays.

If physical therapy isn't working, and it certainly sounds like it isn't, you need an evaluation by a neurologist, a neurosurgeon or an orthopaedic surgeon.

If you were in a car accident, and it wasn't your fault, I hope you have filed a law suit. Your medical insurance from your auto policy should cover these needed tests. Don't let these people screw you around. Get some legal advice fast so you can get the help you need. Good luck.

I would advise you to seek the advise of an injury lawyer. The problems you have now may continue and worsen over the long term. An attorney can at least send you to some Doctors and help you get your medical bills paid for. I was in a head on crash back in 97 and was hospitalized for 8 months. I still live with chronic pain daily. Get some help getting through this. I hope you will be feeling better soon and won't have long term pain. Better to cover yourself now than to look back and be sorry you didn't get help sooner. I wish you the best.

First of all, i hope you stayed at the scene of the accident for the medics to look at you. This very same thing happened to me and i left.....yrs later my back got so bad that i have severe scoliosis and then i left the scene so i was never compensated. You need to go to pain management and get on some pain meds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Celebrex is only an anti-inflammatory med!!! You need something like Lortab which is vicodin or some type of pain med.......................good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a doctor but I just went through a simular senario from an accident where I was rear-ended by a driver that was ticketed for following too close. Here's the deal in NYS------------
I had Mri's, Cat Scans, X-Rays, EMG's etc! All show I have serious injury! The same with my wife who was a passanger- she sustained neck injury documented by test and several MD's!
All sounds good until the "insurance companies" come into the picture.
While both companies agree uncontestably that the other driver was definitely at fault, neither carreir thinks they have any financial obligation to either my wife or myself because of our "trusted political environment" we so proudly endure!
While our politicians are in the back room filling their pockets with "gifts" as they refer to them, we the public are getting the shaft at our politicans financial gains! The laws are written by the insurance industry (of course in their favor) and then rubber stamped by those "overpaid" hard working politicans we have entrusted to our general well being!
They have more loop holes than Carter has pills- thanks to your elected offical that was looking out for his "constituents"!
In your case, Celebrex is a drug commonly used for Arthritis. Therefore, you are going to be deemed in pain due to aging- guaranteed! You have too many areas affected by this accident also. We were told you cannot sustain injury to the lumbar region from "rear-ended colloision" which the insurance industry claims to have researched and documented! My doctor says he sees cases every day of the week documented by test results! Who prevails? The insurance industry of course whom your elected officals are in the back pockets of- favor for favor??? Absolutely!!!
The carrier will at some point send you to their "BOGUS" IME Doctor who will without hestitancy declare you totally recovered and able to return to work without restriction- almost like a form letter! Then, for you to contest it you have to pay, travel to arbitration hearings with insurance company judges and executives sitting upon and get your next big surprise! Oh yes, didn't you understand my previous statements when I suggested the insurance industry writes the laws? Here's you proof!! The politican's on vacation in Acupalco enjoying his "contribution" while you enjoy your pain and suffering!
I realize I have rambled on here but just wanted to let you know where you're headed.
We cannot sue because NYS requires "serious injury" to which we both have. But also, my wife was in another accident 15 years prior that after returning to work for that period of time is now deemed disabled by the insurance industry due to her prior accident and not the most recent with "new injuries"!
I fall in the same boat because I had a previous back surgery in a totally unrelated incident, on a different part of my back 20 tears ago! How amazing these things just come back after 20 years!
Insurance companies basically have the right to sell you insurance mandated by our government and not pay a dime on the policy protected by their own!
Well, lot's of luck to you and hope you regain your health!
