Farz salaah is compulsory.

Nafila is recommended prayers. Not doing them does not constitute sin. But doing them is liked by God.

its fard not farz.

and fard means obligatory.and nafl means an act of worship that has blessing in it but its not obilgatory.

leaving the salat al-fard is a sin (a huge sin also) , and leaving salat al-nafelah(sunnah) is not a sin and doing it gives you more hassnat (Alms) .

hope it is clear now :)
