this same bump comes back very so often, hurts for a little bit, then goes away, but not before the pain gets nearly unbearable. He's so stubborn and hasn't yet seen a doctor but I'm making him go now. Does anyone have an idea so we know what to expect?

Good idea going to the doctor. It could be a few things. Lymph nodes, hernia, cyst, boil.

Sounds like either a hernia or a swollen lymph node, without knowing more it's hard to say. Anything that close to MY jimmy gets seen by a doctor right away. What is he waiting for?

probably a boil.it will eventually burst.you could go to the doctors,and ask him to prick his boil,but please dont get your wording mixed up.remember PRICK HIS BOIL not the other way around
