No pills and not a fancy diet. Pills only make your wallet lose weight and a fancy diet only brings about a jojo cycle.

You know what to do to lose weight cos u said it your self so u don't need advice.

Still i will give u some general rules that always work for anybody but need a lot of will power (and that is just what u r lacking)

Get up earlier in the morning and do some cardio (jogging etc) for about 30 minutes. Preferably on an empty stomach but u can take a protein shake just 10 minutes prior to walking. This really helps to burn fat. Do this at least 6 times per week.
I've done it for ages and my fat level stays at a comfortable 10%. I can even easily cut it down to 7% or less.
The secret is to eat (slightly) less calories then u burn, cardio in the morning gives ur metabolism a boost and gives ur fat burning a boost.

Now for diet. Get rid of all those simple carbs (junkfood, cookies, choclate etc u know what i mean) replace them for complex carb foods (wheat products, non sweetened muesli, long grain rice, etc etc) and eat 6 small meals each day. Don't forget the protein from lean sources (fish, beaf, chicken, low fat dairy products etc). And also include some fatty fish in ur diet. Buy some flax seed oil or OMega 3 pills and eat 2 spoons per day.

So 6 small meals wiht only good quality carbs and protein and fats are the way to go.

But not there yet. Go to the gym 3 times per week and tone ur body with preferably high reps and medium weight (female). Train your whole body, not only the easy parts or the parts u like most. Find a gym where u can store ur kids or try to find somebody who can look after them. The gym is a must and u should train ur whole body.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

i think it would help greatly if you dont eat after 6.30 in an evening. i have 3 kids and am currently trying to loose weight.
My biggest mistake was definatley eating after 6.30 and not eating breakfast.
Have breakfast in a mornin so that it kick starts your matabolism that will help greatly. Then for lunch have a sandwich in brown wholemeal bread or maybe a cuppa soup. Then get rid of most the sugary and fatty items in your house(keep some its not a sin to have 1 thing a day) Have a healthy tea around 6 and then dont eat anything from then.
Ifound it really hard but have eventually kicked the habit of munching on an evening. I also found it hard to find time for the gym so i do 30 crunches and some streches and situps in a morning after i have taken the kids to school and then do the same on an evening after they have gone to bed.
And i promise you this will at least make your tummy flatter and firmer, it has worked for me and i have only been doin it for two weeks.
I hope this helped you and good luck

I too am trying to loose weight and it is hard after having children.
I find that the best thing I brought was one of those steps counters as i was able to monitor just how many steps i took per day .Much to husband and daughter shock i actually walked more steps than they did and they went out to work/college and I am home based. I always ensure i do 10.000 steps per day.(up and down stairs is good).Walking is great if you hate the gym and is also a good tonner for legs.
Chocs and biscuits also my failing so i look for the wieght watcher ones and also slim fast do good tasty bars. I also cut out a lot of the fat from diet everything grilled. I am loosing weight slow but at least coming off and it will stay off loosing weight to quick it will go on just a quick.
Did you know that if you take two sugars in your tea/coffee and drink five cups a day just by cutting the sugar out you can loose a stone in a year. I replaced the sugar with canteroll as it tasts better than sweetex to me.
good luck and remember you are not on your own.

To start with forget the gym, with kids to look after it's hard to get away from home so invest in some home gym equipment... A very good piece of equipment is a 'lateral thigh trainer' or 'twist & shape mini stepper', they are both the same piece of equipment, just the second is far cheaper... I got my twist and shape thing from boots for £23.32 in the sale, but even when not in sale theyre only £34.99 which is much cheaper than the branded 'lateral thigh trainer'... If you can't get out to buy one you can also order similar steppers on ebay relatively cheaply. They are a handy piece of equipment and build up a sweat, you can also feel your thighs and bum becoming toned as you use it. Another thing to help you tone up is a slendertone flex belt, very good at toning stomach muscles with no effort from yourself! Drinking green tea is good to detox your insides and healthy eating is a must for slimming. Also start an online diet diary... this is the most important thing you can do, and for free i use http://www.nutridiary.com/

So in simple language:
eat healthily, don't starve yourself
do some form of cardio exercise 3 times a week for 30 mins
monitor what you're eating (i discovered I consumed too much cholesterol and not enough iron or calcium)
and get a slendertone to strenghten core stomach muscle to create a slimmer self image
drink lots of water and green tea (not much else)

And finally don't give up! Good luck! I have lost 8lb so far and have only been doing this for 2 weeks!

Here’s my two cents:

Focus on changing your unhealthy habits for healthy ones. You said that you have trouble exercising because of the four kids, but why don’t you work them into your routine? Have Tuesday be the day you walk them home from school instead of driving. Install a basketball hoop, and spend a half hour playing with them. Take them hiking. Take them canoeing. Take them ice skating. Take them for a long walk around the park. USE your kids to make you go out and be active for 30 minutes, 3 times a week, and you will also be spending quality time with them.

As for diet, start by actually eating the portion size for foods listed on the box. You love chocolates and biscuits – measure out the box in terms of portion size, put aside each in a container, and just eat one. Saying “I’m not going to eat them” is not realistic – you need to learn how to incorporate measured servings of food into your diet for the long term. Focus on a well-balanced diet, something that you should be eating for the rest of your life.

Meanwhile, start counting calories. It’s really the best way to see where your calories are going. You blame the sweets, but do you also like Mayo and Cheese (not together, necessarily)? There may be other problems with your diet that are easy to correct or eliminate.

Good luck.

I'll give you the benefit of what my nutrionist tells me: Eat SMALL portioned meals six times a day. That keeps your metabolism up. Make them a good balance of lean protein and carbs -- but not white bread, pasta or potatoes! Eat whole wheat bread and pasta. Do this SIX DAYS A WEEK. Then for ONE day a week you can go nuts. Not TOO crazy -- you can undo A LOT of progress quickly. But think of your cravings and HAVE THEM! Then get right back to it!

Also, since you have to be at home a lot with the kids, try a work out DVD that you enjoy. I use Turbo Jam and they have many FUN workouts that are between 20 and 50 minutes! Many to choose from! I'd try to do at least 30 mins, though.

I know will power is tough -- I believe I have a full-on addiction to food! :-) But you have to prioritize yourself and make time for yourself.

Good luck!!

I was recommended a diet from A1diet and it really helped me to control my cravings. I lost 10KG (a stone and a half) in 6 weeks, didn't feel hungry, had loads of energy and have kept the weight off for 6 years. I also a Personal Weightloss Coach to guide and support me - at no extra cost!!

if you eat healthily apart from chocolate and biscuits, then you should find that just by cutting out or limiting these will help you lose a lot of weight. obviously some exercise will help you lose the weight faster, but the intake of less calories will automatically help you shift those pounds!
