Panasonic Lumix digital cam! this memory card is protected! how may i resolve this problem? pls help?

this memory card is protected! thats the message i can see everytime i turn on my Panasonic Lumix digital cam. for those who know about this problem, i deeply needed your help. i ask for your kindness! thank you so much in advance

I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ-5 camera. I think you'll find it's the memory card that is causing the problem. Mine uses SD cards. The SD cards have a little slider on the side of them to "lock" and "unlock" them. The "lock" setting is the write protect mode...ie you can't write to it. Make sure the slider is set to "unlock" and try again.

I have a Panasonic Lumix SZ7 camera and i could not delete or copy a photo to the camera while on the computer. Kept getting the message 'write protected' but i put the SD card in the computer without the camera and i found i could delete AND copy to it photos from the computer! Problem solved.
