If you live around Florida or in one of the great lakes states you can try American Freight they have a store locator on their web site and cheap furniture. Cheapest place I know. My sister has bought from them. The furniture seems to hold up okay.

Might find some "like new" used values on your regional craigslist. Some TV station websites also offer free classifieds.
