herbalife is legit and legal. i started mentoring my sponsors about a year ago. i was on track to start making calls and selling, however, my life got in the way and it just wasn't the right time for me. it had nothing to do with herbalife. my sponsors were willing to put as much time and effort into me as i was willing to put into my business. i am confident that i will get into soon and will probably be successful. i intend to make a few thousand a month and i have talked to enough people to know that it is possible to be successful with it. HOWEVER, you will only profit if you put forth an effort.

i probably put in about $300 so far...well, maybe a little more, but i am not mad about it. i don't see it as a loss b/c i haven't done anything to recover that expense.

frankly, i think herbalife is great and i continue to use the products (fantastic) even though i'm not active in my business right now.

so, if you are willing to put some time into it and a little bit of money, then go for it. BUT, if you ahve a pipe dream of sitting back and not doing anything and somehow making money, then you're mistaken. if you can put forth some time and effort, then you can make a lot of money with herbalife.

you can do what i did and research it online. however, remember that you can always find negatives and positives on the internet. so, it's for you to decide if it's right for you.

also, research mark hughes...the founder of herbalife. he died a VERY wealthy man and his death wasn't from his products.....don't be alarmed.

no one ever made a lot of money without putting themselves out there and taking some risks....

take care.

p.s.
some call it a pyramid scheme.
it's not. it's multi-level marketing. totally legit.
also, don't go gung-ho all at once.
i just did a low level distributorship and plan to piggy back my way into a supervisor position.
also, i never had any inventory in my home. it's all online and phone calls. i buy leads from companies and dial the leads. then, you talk to these people about weight loss products, which do work if you follow the plan.

I tried using the Herbalife products about 20 yrs ago (and I realize they may have changed since then) but they were rather disgusting, and very expensive. I used it for one month, lost a large amount of weight (more than was safe for one month) and was miserable from the program--I had to take the supplements, & really "couldn't" eat much real food--it wasn't "allowed" on the program...

Stick with some other form of home sales, like Avon or Mary Kay--they are tried & tested products, and easier to sell. Herbalife is much harder to sell due to the high cost--most people don't want to put out $100+ a month to lose weight.

And if you are looking for a way to help you lose, try Weight Watchers--I have lost over 50 lbs on it & have been following it for nearly 15 yrs. After trying dozens of other programs, it is abou the most "sane" programs I have found.

Good Luck!

Two of my aunts invested considerable sums of money in Herbalife and lost their shirts. Herbalife is a pyramid scheme, basically, that purports to offer people a healthy income through selling herbal products. In reality, the only way you can make any money is to recruit other people into the business. As they sell the product, you get a percentage of their profits - the more people you have selling for you, the better your income.
Which is not all that unreasonable on the surface - but the folks under you quickly realize they're not making those fabulous profits that were advertised unless THEY manage to recruit people to work under THEM - and on and on.
Two other major drawbacks: the product is very much overpriced, and you must buy your stock of product to sell and pay for it all at once BEFORE you receive it - so if you are unable to sell it all at inflated prices, you LOSE your investment. The other problem is, most of the products are ineffective and virtually un-sellable. You are not allowed, however, to buy just those products you think are most likely to sell - you must initially buy a "package", which will include items that are unlikely to sell.
Bottom line: virtually NONE of these "work from home" schemes morph into successful businesses. The exceptions are so very rare that the names of the very few that did work are household names - Mary Kay comes to mind...but all of the ladies I've known over the years who sold Mary Kay, and the five or so I know today who sell that line - do it part time and hold other jobs, as well as sell Mary Kay. That product line has some excellent stuff; my wife uses it. But you just ain't gonna get rich with any of these schemes!

I know exactly how you feel! I got so dang sick and tired of yoyo dieting and between me and my friend I think we have tried everything you can think of! In comes Herbalife. You will not believe how great you feel and how when your body is being taken care of your weight comes off.
The plan I have is have a chocolate shake or slice of chocolate pie for 2 meals a day, then for the third meal I can have whatever I want! But what’s cool is I crave salads and stuff instead of junk food….which is good since I am a person that eats when bored, depressed or mad!
Here’s where the extra help comes in: I take tablets three times a day that is custom planned for my body and diet plan. Everything on this plan is all natural so I don’t have to worry about putting strange dieting chemicals in my body that can have dangerous side effects. Not to mention my free coach that comes with it! I have not only lost 20 pounds in a month and half but also a LOT of inches! And the energy level is outrageous! Even though I hate exercising I have found energy to do hobbies like rollerblading, ice-skating and riding a bike again!
I love sharing this with everyone I know so they can feel as good as I do. If you are serious about losing weight and want me to help, just let me know! Good luck!

Don't get involved - it's pyramid selling. I went to one of their lectures because I was interested in their products (for slimming). They couldn't tell me anything about the products (how it works, that the ingredients were, etc.). All they wanted to tell me was how much money I would make if I sold to my friends, colleagues, etc.. Be careful!
