My boy has adhd, He is on concerta a medication, He is probably very hyperactive and has trouble concentrating as my son does. On concerta it slows things down for him and he able to concentrate. Put him on medication i objected at first but he was doing poor in school, the day i put him on medication he was able to concentrate in school etc. He is 8 yrs old.

ADHD childrenapart from medications require constant monitoring.Hence take the advice of psychologist too for BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION
