the older i become and the more weak and sick i get the more i begin to think of my mortality.

Definitely. Since man is going to put off the critical questions until the end, it is not a blessing to live 1000 years. That is why YHVH shortened mans life expectancy to 70 years.

Yes, especially when I have a quiet moment, and also remember and feel remorse about the things I did and didn't do or say when I had the chance, eons ago.
But as the saying goes " you won't get alive out of this life"

Yes, it's natural for a sentient being to realize their mortality. It's why we have things like life insurance to take care of our loved ones.
Knowing that, what will you do? Prepare for the afterlife OR try to use the life you have to make a positive impact on the world (however small it may be)?

Yes ,most will have such passing thoughts.But it should not linger on.You can engage your mind in other interesting thoughts/works.
My body is 61.But my mind is at least 20 years younger.

When you start feeling that is when you have to get out and go explore the world so you can see everything worth seeing. I plan on doing that.
