I was just looking over some questions I had answered to see if I had some thumbs up ratings when I came to one of your previous questions and I saw where you asked me to explain my answer.
I may be way off base as to why this woman is acting the way she is, but I used to be like that when an attractive man was near me. It took me years to realize what I was doing and now looking back I can see where most men may have thought I was a snob, when in reality I was so scared and didn't know how to interact or communicate with the opposite sex. I see now the many great opportunities I may have missed out on as far as relationships go by being so introverted.
This woman may not be shy or introverted, but may feel guilty for having feelings for you if she is married or in another relationship. If not, she may feel she's not good enough for you or it may be quite the opposite. I don't know but it just seemed familiar to me when I read your question.
I had the opportunity to work in an office with mostly men and it helped me get out of a lot of my awkwardness toward men. I actually enjoy flirting and joking with them, without being inappropriate of course. I am married and most of the men I work with are married so I learned how to develop a fun work relationship that didn't turn me into the office tramp or cause my husband or their wives any worry.

Women 40+ have been around and they know all the mind games and tricks men play. If they are rude to you, they honestly don't like you at all. Older women don't waste time playing mind games like younger women do. If they ignore you, then you should understand they are doing it because they are not interested in you.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure women out, i don't know why people say women cannot be understood. It's rather easy to figure out women if you are intelligent enough and have enough time to waste doing so.

I don't know. I suppose they could ignore you if they a feeling self conscious or shy and don't know what to say. And then be polite and friendly when you speak to them. I guess you have to figure out how rude the rude is. If its really rude then they probably are trying to get rid of you. If its just not knowing what to say, then they could be just shy and nervous cos they like you.

I don't know if some of them act that way or not, but I do know that if that is how they act around somebody they are attracted to, you don't want them ... because it's only gonna get worse if you get into a relationship with them.
