My ex g/f contacted me yest', by I M, asking why i was not in contact with her....! still..
I replied and told her isn't obvious your my ex....!
we talked for a bit, and she is desperate to be friends with me for some reason...!
I dont get it, we were together for 4 years, and split up about 5 months ago....
We are both now seeing new people....
What does she want...?
Is she genuinely wanting to be friends..?
Or has she and her new fella split up or what...?
She says she missis me and still cares for me...
i told her to go make a new life, and leave the past in the past...!

4 years is a long time to be with someone..and, just bye bye...sometimes, it takes one to get over the relationship. who broke up the relationship?
I mean, if you were together for 4 years...you must have had a bond, that your ex..is having a difficult time letting go of...perhaps she is confusing this with still caring for you...

4 YEARS ARE A LONG TIME! I THINK HAT SHE STILL HAS FEELINGS FOR YOU. THE HUMAN MIND HAS THE AMAZING ABILITY TO FORGET ALL THE BAD THINGS AND REMEMBER ONLY THE GOOD. SO YOUR EX PROBABLY IS LOOKING FOR YOUR FEATURES IN HER NEW B/F. AND IT IS ONLY FOR YOUR GOOD ONES. TELL HER THAT YOU ALSO CARE FOR HER BUT YOU NEED MORE TIME TO BE ABLE TO BE JUST FRIENDS WITH HER.

yes, you're right to tell her that she is now your past and you have to move on.. a new chapter w/ someone new..Ü this i say, she hasn't gotten over you... 4 years is really that long in a relationship.. move on and goodluck on your new relationship... Ü be happy.... time heals all wounds.... and i know 5 months is just short for you to get over it... that's why you have other diversions...

Will it be so bad to stay friends? After all you guys have known each other for 4 years (or more??)....Wouldn't it nice to be friends with someone who have known you well?

I am still friends with my ex and probubly always will be I am dating other people and I still want to keep my friendship
