Women that befriend gay men exclusively do it because they are safe. A gay man won't break your heart because there's no romantic attachment. A woman that is well balanced in her life can accept anyone into it without losing themselves. I have many platonic male friends and enjoy their company and advice.

A man can give you advice into things in a way another woman can not. We see things differently. There have been more than a few instances where a male friend has given me advice on relationships, business, finance etc. that was dead on. Things I never considered.

Please don't try to alter yourself to meet some superficial or ideological idea of what a "man" is or acts like. Be who you are that is the only way you will be happy. A man that is confident and true to himself is attractive.

it has nothing to do with being a man

gay men have a different look on life and we as woman at least me like the idea that i can take them anywhere and 1 feel secure and safe while still having someone to pick out a great pair of shoes

also some men even friends say things or do things that gay men would never do or say around the "girls"

dont take it personal it is just something we do

I've never known a gay man so I don't know about befriending them. But I can tell you I have lots of guy friends (just friends). Some women probably have a trust issue with guys that aren't gay, believing that they are only befriending them to eventually get in the womans pants.

You're pretty much gay the only difference is you haven't gone over to the dark side and still pose a threat of possibly getting some sex from the chick compared to a gay guy, that will not pose a threat of asking, begging for some action.

With gay men there is not threat and no pressure.
Women find it hard to have nice guys as friends, because eventually most of them pressure the women to have a relationship with them . When they are turned down they get aggressive, mean and put guilt trips on the women.....

Nice single straight guys come across as desperate. If you want to be attractive to women, then remove from your mind and actions the idea of having a relationship with one. Just be yourself and have fun. Girls know and are very turned off if you start planning a relationship with them when you first meet. You need to just back off, be yourself, enjoy their company for what it's worth, and don't make any expectations on what will happen next.

I think maybe women almost feel gay men as one of the girls and they don't think that they are going to hit on them, but as far as a nice guy that wants to be friends what woman wouldn't want that. I have a great friend and he is the nicest guy that I have ever known.

Have asked myself this question many times, as well as why do women seem attracted to men who have been in prison, and have tat's all over their neck, arms, chest, back, legs, etc.

I think a majority of women these days, have gone off on some crazy tangent, looking for the strange and mysterious crap that is available out in the world.

Gay men will not turn into octopus man and try to take advantage of us. Most nice men that are not gay are wolves in disguise...the whole nice guy image dimenishes when the moon comes out!

I've been on several "nice guy" outings when this happened to me!!!

What do you get out of being friends with someone? It doesn't matter if they are gay, straight, bi, black, white, asain, ect. A person becomes friends with someone because they enjoy each others company. Sheesh!
