I feel for you - I am also scared. there is a good thing on Virgin fear of flying website that sends you news letters every week to help out. The newsletters are interesting and give you something to think about! they also offer a course that you can do - its unfortunately in the UK and I am in SA. They have a 98% sucess rate and I have heard it is really good! One thing that does help me is Resue Remedy spray - It relaxes you! Well good luck if you find some sort of magic carpet that magically gets you to a destination without you knowing - Let me know!!!!!!

If you can afford it try flying school you can go on a small plane. You could also try flying simulations.
The other way is to actually just fly.
It is more likely you will die in a car crash than die in an air disaster. Always fly with well known competitive airlines.
YOu just need practice, the only real way to stop a phobia is by exposing you to whatever it is you are scared of. Did you know within about 2 hours your body will abandon the fight and flight response, once it does that you will find that your fear will reduce. When you escape a situation when you feel phobic or fearful it actually reinforces the anxious behavour.

Hi, some air lines have simulated flights so that anyone with a fear of flying can try it without leaving the ground - I don't know which air lines or how much it costs, sorry.
Alternatively, go by land or sea.
Good luck and I hope you get over it, its not as bad as it may seem and there are less accidents in the air than on the ground.
cheers Kate

In my job as a hypnotherapisy - I help people overcome fear of flying all the time. I use 4 basic components:
The core is hypnosis with whats called systomatic desensitisation (a slow exposiure to the proble)
NLP depending on your communications methods
breathing - because relaxed breathing to a deep level turns off the fear reaction.

Don't you mean "know" and not "no"? Two completely different words and they mean different things.
Take something to make you sleep for the entire flight. Or valium. Flying is far safer than driving, statistically.
