Water doesn't really help you feel full when you're really hungry, but sometimes when you think you're hungry, you're really just dehydrated.

Secondly, water DEFINITELY helps with weight loss. As I understand it, when you don't drink enough water, your kidneys can't do their job properly. So your liver, which plays a big part in breaking down fat, has to pick up their slack and cannot burn fat as effectively. Secondly, not drinking enough water actually causes you to retain water, so people who suddenly start drinking enough water often flush this retained water out of their system and loose 2-5 pounds of stored water weight within a couple of days. Not to mention, hydrated muscles are like lubricated muscles, and can make exercise more efficient.

*I just wanted to add, water can make you full in that it expands your stomach. But an exapanded stomach does not actually have much effect on the "satiety center" of your brain.

Yes it does make u full. And water has to calories so if you feel full and drink water you can lose weight. It has been said to drink like 8-8oz glasses of water a day (I think). I know I lost weight drinking water only and I felt better without all the sugars in my body from Juices, tea, etc.

(But I still drink my coffee) LOL

Try a cup full of plain hot water, as hot as you can stand it and still be able to chug it down without sipping, that is guaranteed to take away the hunger, but it might make you feel a little nauseous for a few minutes

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
