If you count all the variations in animals within animal subgroups this becomes even more unreasonable.

Coming from Australia, how did all our native mammals survive since we were on another continent and Noah didn’t know they existed!

Must have been one hell of a boat ;)

If you guys can use the evolution theory for the animal variations if you wish… although I though that would be too scientifically viable.

First re read the account. It was seven of the clean and two of the un clean. The two by two is a children's song and rarely gets cleared up!

But, since you ask. An infinite God can do anything. Think of Dr. Who, not a great analogy, but you get the idea. Tardis.

It was an Ark not a boat , it was larger than The Queen Mary 2 , which you may know is one of the largest ocean liners in the world . The Ark was constructed of wood , Our Creator told Noah to take a male and female of every animal , not every creation , No Amphibians , No Insects , No Fish or Sea Mammals , No Vegetation , No Ancient Artifacts , just Animals . This makes one think that The Great Flood was only on part of this planet we call Earth . Because The Ancient Greeks and Chinese and Inker and Aztec Nations Historical Artifacts were not damaged by The Great Flood . The Bible gives no reason for this . The type of Wood used to make The Ark was not specified , most Wood floats . How the wood was fastened together remains a mystery because The Steal Nail had not been invented at that time .

It was a hell of a boat.
Look at the dimensions given in the Bible and determine the area.
Consider it only had to be the "type"
Afterwards I'm sure is when the different DNA variations developed.
Certainly not all, I mean, we know that all the dinosaurs if they were still around died in the flood. There isn't any around today.
Actually, if you consider the different animals around now, some aren't really much different than the dinosaurs. Elephants, giraffes, rhinos, etc. These managed to survive.
Don't forget, God is capable of doing ANYTHING, even getting animals from one continent to another.
Besides, at that time, the whole world was more tropical. There's more info on that than I can give right now.

Subgroups were not put on the ark.

Example. The bible says Noah only brought on the Ark one kind.
One kind of animal would be able to breed and create sub-species.

Let’s do a simple one, the Dog.

Many members of the dog family can interbreed to produce fertile offspring. Molecular analysis indicates 4 divisions of candies.

So one male Dog type and one different female Dog type taken on the ark can produce another dog, wolves, coyotes, jackals, and Dingoes.

There was no need to bring every animal type on Earth into the Ark. Although if you look at the measurements of the Ark. It WAS the largest wooden vessel ever made in all of human history. No wooden boat was ever made that big after it. Think of 1 and half football fields put together.

There are three living species of elephants. There are six species identified. Just the 6 elephants to cover the living ones and enough food would be problematic. They eat about 300 kg a day so you would need over 600,000 kg just to feed them for over 300 days. The largest wooden ships built only displaced about 500 tons. You need more than 600 tons of food just for the elephants, and that doesn't count the weight of the elephants or ship.

Now throw in the three living species of Rhinos and you need six of them too, and the two Hippo species meaning you need four of them. Now just for fun lets throw in the cats. There are 39 living species and a bunch more that are recently (500 years) extinct. And that is giving the benefit of the doubt on subspecies; but if you can't evolve you would have had too. They start with a lion and tiger and go down And you need two of each. These not only need food, it has to be meat. Now without refrigeration that means bringing a lot of goats and such just to feed them.

It isn't workable in any real world. We couldn't build a ship that would do this with our modern technology. Let alone try to build it out of wood.

By the way there are 900,000 known insects. We find about 2,000 new ones every year so that isn't a full list. This alone would be problematic.

You're right, it was one heck of a boat! The total available floor space on the ark would have been over 100,000 square feet, which would be more floor space than in 20 standard-sized basketball courts.
Assuming an 18-inch cubit, Noah's Ark would have had a cubic volume equal to 569 modern railroad stock cars. The total cubic volume would have been 1,518,000 cubic feet-that would be equal to the capacity of 569 modern railroad stock cars.

The Ark had plenty of room for all the animals. Young animals would be small and easier to care for and would use less food. It would have been foolish to fill up space on the Ark with the oldest, biggest adults.

Assuming the average animal to be about the size of a sheep and using a railroad car for comparison, we note that the average double-deck stock car can accommodate 240 sheep. Thus, three trains hauling 69 cars each would have ample space to carry the 50,000 animals, filling only 37% of the ark. This would leave an additional 361 cars or enough to make 5 trains of 72 cars each to carry all of the food and baggage plus Noah's family of eight people. The Ark had plenty of space.

YETTI have no faith. Eds do have faith. Noah did not place the animals, GOD did. Yetti should read the BIBLE, and Yetti will get much smarter about Noah. Have a great reading.

Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
HEAR - Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
BELIEVE - To the Prison guard in Acts 16:31 Paul and Silas said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
REPENT - Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
CONFESS CHRIST - Matthew 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
BE BAPTIZED - Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL - Revelation 2:10b Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Send me a note if you have questions. I am anxious to hear from you. Have a Great day.
Eds

First he did not have to take two of every subspecies. He did not have to take two beagles, two mastiffs, two poodles, etc..etc.. Two dogs would have been enough. That reduces the amount of animals sufficiently to fit in a ship the size of the Ark. Second the fact is at the time it is very probable that Australia was connected to Africa by a land bridge as was North America to Asia

Read the story again. Seriously, when was the last time you actually looked at the words?

In the literal translation of the Bible, God tells Noah "And you shall bring into the ark two of every kind, of every living thing of all flesh, to keep alive with you; they shall be male and female;
from the birds according to its kind, and from the cattle according to its kind, from every creeping thing of the ground according to its kind. Two from each shall come in to you to keep alive.
And take for yourself all food that is eaten, and gather to yourself. And let it be for you and for them for food."

It goes on about taking certain groups of animals that are clean in sevens, etc., but the above is the part most people are talking about. Yeah it says every living thing of all flesh, but does is say from all over the world? Would that even make sense? No of course not. If you read on about the which groups to take seven and which to take only two, you'll see God was telling Noah about his own farm animals and those around him.

Noah’s Ark: Was It Possible?

Atheists, agnostics, unbelievers and liberal scholars have all scoffed at the biblical account of Noah’s ark and the Flood. But their criticisms rest on some mistaken assumptions.........
