We're always talking about these young women stars partying hard, and therefore being bad role models for young girls. However, here's what I don't get....we always read about these guys who start fights at clubs, throw chairs, throw punches, pick up hookers...yet, we never worry about them setting a poor example for young guys. Why is it that women having fun at clubs and enjoying our youth gets ostracized, while men who pick fights and beat people up, get left alone? Talk about your gross double standards! Why can't the world just get off women's backs and give men a tough time for a change?!

They're not a bad role models because guys are half expected to act that way. Girls are supposed to be above that kind of debauchery. You HAVE heard of the double standard, haven't you? Where does it come from? From the sexes of course!

Do guys look down on women who party and put out......NOT AT ALL!! It's the other women who call party girls sluts and what not.

Guys are put down and shunned by other guys for being a wuss or being whipped. Partying and playing the field are considered the proper behavior in the male world.

Very interesting question. Face it, we women are judged more harshly than men and we have to watch our behavior much more carefully.

How about the astronaut who drove 900 miles to confront the other woman in her so-called love triangle? Granted, her behavior was extremely nutty, but I couldn't help but think that men do these kids of menacing things all the time and it is not splashed all over the news; it's business as usual.

I resent the additional scrutiny women are placed under, but if it helps some women to show more class and monitor their behavior, maybe it's not such a bad thing?

are you joking me... I do not always read about these celebrity guys doing anything you previously mentioned. However, they do commit heinous acts, George Cloony and his intoxicated actions, Michel Jackson's pedophile life style, not to mention Rodney and his cross dressing fad. the got the press they deserved and in equal scrutiny as the woman. i think women often become famous because of their stupidity Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, and Brittney Spears... you're question is actually statistical useless... how ever in support of you feminist quandary maybe you should leave celebrities out of it, and ask why do men commit such greater portion of crimes? of which i have an answer to. think about your questions before you ask them and please leave behind your agenda, look at all the press and you would see men get is much ridicule as women. your issue might actually be with the press, it seems women get higher ratings.

It's the double standard and crap like boys will be boys mentality. I don't have a problem with these young and famous types having fun, but they really need to watch it.

Its the same reason why a guy who dates alot is called a stud while women who date a lot are called sluts. It is a double standard.
