thats how i met my bf.. although we didn't talk on the phone before i met him..
i think its okay to go and meet him.. um i'd make sure it was in a public place.. like a coffee shop or the mall...

also make sure you let someone know your meeting him incase something crazy happens..

Also if your young.. it might not be a good idea.. like if your parents wouldn't apporve then dont' go

oh i'll add i am still with my bf and we live to gether and such :)
now

Look, it depends on how much you know and trust this guy. The fact that you met him in the internet doesn't make him a bad person or someone you cannot trust. You may meet and trust somebody in the 'real world' because you have seen him and talked to him face-to-face, but then find out he is completely strange to you and that he has cheated you.

I've met someone in the internet, too. I really felt he was the one for me. After some time, we met and started dating. We are together for more than a year now, we are very much in love and happy!!

I would just advice you to TAKE CARE and follow your instinct!

No. Do not meet him. My friend did this and she was raped and they didn't find her until 3 weeks later. BEWARE! They are not as cracked up as they say they are. People lie and will do anything over the internet. If you feel you must meet him, then please do it in an extremely public area and bring a friend. If he is who he says he is, and not some forty year old with two kids and a dog, then still KEEP YOUR FRIEND THERE! Plus, if the guy really is into you, then he should have no problem with it. Preferably, bring a guy friend--who's buff.

Do you trust him enough to meet him already? How long have you guys been chatting online and over the phone. I met my current boyfriend from yahoo personals and we have been seeing each other for 1 1/2 already.

How long have you been talking? How old are you? If you aren't over 18 I would say absolutely no!! But if you are old enough to make your own decisions I say don't go alone, go with a few friends and do not go to a private place, go to some place that has a lot of people around like a mall food court or a busy shopping center....someplace busy with lots of people! Good Luck!

That is a pretty dangerous move these days. Get some pics sent back and forth. Then if you do meet him and he doesn't look like his pic run. Oh yeah, show up late and know where he is going to be exactly.

It depends...how old are you? if you are at least 25 go ahead and meet him...but take someone with you.. DO NOT GO ALONE!!! That is only asking for problems. and make sure you agree to meet in a populated area...a resturant for example. good luck

No! Hell No! NFW! I don't want to even meet You. It never works. Trust me. There's nothing wrong with having Friends, On-Line. Wait until you can check on this Guy. Trust me!

only if you feel comfortable and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS in a public place. Don't let him pick you up or drive you anywhere. I am an advocate for online dating considering I met my fiancee that way. Just be safe hun and good luck!
