Did he die because his earthly body must die? If Jesus' body was earthly, wouldn't he have sinned? Since Jesus was strong and could heal people and perform miracles, how did he make himself weak?

- I wish to know the answers to these questions because i am struggling with my beliefs. I want to believe in Jesus because I feel i am missing something in life. Also I care about my salvation. Thank you to anyone that can help me out.

Jesus died to save us, to take away our sins. Jesus' body was earthly, but just his body not his soul, this is why he did not sin. Jesus could feel pain because God can do anything and if feeling pain and dieing for everyone to see is what He wanted to do then it was simply done. I don't think I would call Jesus weak in what He went through, I don't know anyone that could have gone through what He did. I would be surprised if any ordinary man could have made it through the tortured beating, but I don't see how any ordinary man could have then gone on to carry the cross with or without another man helping for all that distance. Any distance for that matter.

You have a lot of serious questions that would be best answered by a preacher. It's great that you are asking these questions and that you are wanting God in your life, but on here you don't know who is answering you. Don't blindly take anyones word for your questions, preacher or not, its a very good idea to also read the Bible and find answers yourself. The Bible can be hard to understand though and so a church with a good preacher to help guide you is great, preachers are great at giving you an idea of where to look in the Bible for your answers while you are learning also. I have an English Standard Version Bible that I really like, it is written more like we speak today. If you are looking for a church, a very nice simple, usually small, church is Church of Christ. Church of Christ is nondenominational and sticks to God's word as written. I have found the small churches to be very nice and easier to get to know the preacher and ask him questions. It's not just important to like the people and preacher though, its important to have a preacher that preaches the Bible and not opinions or popular beliefs. If you are still living at home and too young to drive to visit churches to try to find answers you are looking for, maybe try visiting with any friends you may have that go to church.

Jesus was the son of God by an earthly mother. It is crucial to our understanding and appreciation of of the sacrifice by Jesus and by His Father who ordained that He would die for our sins - that He suffer immeasurably. A painless death would have meant nothing. Jesus greatest demonstration of strength was His refusal to fight back against His unjust accusation & execution. This has been mistaken for weakness. Did Jesus sin? According to scripture - no. But He had a human side so...maby. If He did, as He died for our sins, He also died for His own, so it doesn't matter. And what strength God showed! When His son was on the cross and said, "Father, Why hast thou forsaken me?" He must have closed His eyes and cried. By God's own decision, Jesus would suffer & die for our sins. How that must have hurt. It makes us understand John 3:16. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not parish, but have everlasting life."

In is explained in Philippians 2:5-11. It says that even though Jesus was equal to God, he gave up the position and became a servant. As a servant, he was made into the form of a human. During that time, he was obedient to God in everything - even dead. That is why God raised him up and returned to him the position he had before. So that every knee must bow to Jesus and proclaim him Lord.

During the time that he was "human", he laid aside his divine power. He experienced all the same pains, limitations, hunger, sleepiness, temptations, that any other human experiences. (See Hebrew 4:15). He was also limited to using only the "power" that is available to other humans to live his life. He had to rely on the infilling on the Holy Spirit, prayer, etc. to acoomplish what he did. He had to show that it was possible for a human to live a perfect life - inspite of all the aches, pains, and temptation - with nothing more than the those abilities to add him. So if felt pain just like any other human would have.

Jesus was a perfect human. He died, as God allowed Satan's agents to kill him, as an equal to Adam.

Two perfect men. One was not faithful, one was.

Adam sold himself and all his children to the side of imperfection and sin. Jesus as perfect is the only equivalent to buy us back to God's side. 1Cor:15:45.

Acts 3:15 whereas you killed the Chief Agent of life. But God raised him up from the dead, also Ch.4:10.

In my opinion, Jesus cried and prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, because his flesh was weak, in facing the next day. An angel came and strengthened him. He need spiritual strength to continue allowing his enemies to torture him.

1Peter 2:22 He committed no sin, nor was deception found in his mouth.

God cannot lie, and at the transfiguration God said; 'This is my Son, listen to him.' Matthew 17:5

Well sir, let me help you out. The name jesus is greek for the name Joshua. Joshua was a very popular name .

Christ is supposed to be greek for messiah. However what the greeks believed a messiah was and what the Israelites viewed the messiah as were two entirely different matters.

Many people of the time believe that it was time for the return of the messiah. Israel was in the hand of the romans and the temple priesthood was corrupt. Several men rose to the occasion to be the messiah, most were named Joshua. You for example had characters with names like Joshua Barabbas and of course Joshua HaMashiack(incorrect spelling) known to you as jesus christ.

What the church did was over time took all the stories contributed to these characters and combined them into one.

Yes, the Pharisee of that day asked the same question, basically asking "if you are in fact the Christ, why do you not save yourself?"

Here's a pretty good answer straight from the Bible "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man"

To relate it to ourselves, think about what if I told you I could make you into a dog, but you'd be constrained by all things dog-like. You would have to live and die as dogs do; within your heart and soul you'd still be yourself, but your body would be a dog. Sort of like the Shaggy DA lol.

This is what Jesus did for us, such is our Brother's love for us :)

Jesus isn't God. He is the Son of God, Saviour of the Jews and the World. He was sent by God to preach about Christianity. Nothing more. All I don't understand is his whole ressurection....if Christians claim they don't believe in a second life.

This is a good question. Jesus was God in human flesh. He didn't have to die but chose to. Since sin in the beginning, blood sacrifice was used to cover sin. But Jesus' blood not only covered, but made atonement. So He was a subsitute for us who deserve to die in our sin. Since Jesus didn't sin, He was the perfect sacrifice (because He was God, He couldn't sin). The best thing, is we only need to accept this free gift. When we ask Jesus into our life, we, by faith receive salvation.

The Almighty YHVH created this world very good. Once man sinned, he could no longer meet the requirements of YHVH. Because of His great love for man, He sent His son the Savior. The Savior's name means YHVH is my Savior!--YAHOSHUA! The only way one can have his sins taken care of is to invite the Savior in to carry them. If a person chooses to remain attached to their sins, they will be consumed in the cleansing fire the Almighty will send to cleanse this world so He can make it new! How could the Almighty be more generous? There are many things in Scripture that are hard to understand. Try to focus more on the overwhelming Love and Sufficiency of the Almighty YHVH who has done everything needed for us. Some of the details of exactly what it was that He did will have to wait for eternity to be adequately explained!

Jesus was not God. Jesus was the Earthly son of God.

Jesus died so that we could live. He gave his life for us.
