I was talking to someone who was telling me that not all types of seizures show up on a CT scan. Have you heard of this? What info do you know about this?

My son had his first seizure several years ago. CT scan essentially negative. The primary diagnostic tool used by the physician (neurologoist) was EEG (electroencephalogram) - the physician was able to determine seizure activity by interpretation of abnormal EEG readings. Also, it was a sleep-deprived EEG, I had to keep my son up all night - that helped the EEG be more diagnostic.

You might be better off getting a EEG or an MRI done I think for some reason they seem to find more by doing those than the CT scan.

That's how they found out what part of the brain and they also saw that at that part of the brain there was allot of scare tissue around there.
