Okay so the ideal solution would be to stop buying petrol full stop- if only I could, but I've been trying to figure out which source of petrol is the least.
With various environmental agencies asking us to boycott ESSO becuase of climate change, Shell because of human rights infringements in Nigeria, Total because it's Burmese owned, BP involved in human rights infringements in Colombia and Indonesia... is there anywhere I can buy petrol without feeling worse than I have to!!
Does anyone know anymore about where supermarkets source their petrol? Or any of the major retailers who include biothanol in their products?

In response to Lamont Cranston I didn't ask for an opinion on my views, it is my democratic right to insure I am using the resources of the world available to me as I see fit. If in doing so I would rather avoid funding genocide in Equador and execution in Nigeria that is my perogative.
Such issues are not scaremongering, read the news, open your eyes, plenty people do not enjoy the human rights I do given the luxury of living in Western Europe and if I can effect the daily life of people less fortunate than me by buying petrol elsewhere it's the least I can do.
My question is a request for knowledge from those much wiser than me, if anyone has any i'd much appreciate it and then I'll make up my own mind.
