Hi there again Julie...accidental ingestion of foreign substances such as balloons causes intestinal blockages which can become extremely life-threatening within 24-48 hours. Cats are unable to pass anything through their bowels and this requires URGENT surgery to clear up the blockage. Please consider rushing your cat into a veterinary hospital immediately.

Pick up the phone. Call the vet. Your cat may die if the balloon causes a blockage and even if its eat cannot digest food. Your cat could die a slow and very painful death.

You must get help for it immediately and keep plastic and other harmful items away from the cat!

My cat ate like 2 feet of a spongy string that was apart of his wand toy and the vet just asked me two watch for any signs of blockage like throwing up or no litterbox activity. My cat eventually passed it all but it took a few days. I had to monitor him closely. If your not gunna be around then i'd definitely drop kitty off at the vet and let them watch. An ex ray may be necessary. If their is a blockage then surgery would be the next step. Good luck.

I were you i would take my cat immediately to the vet and let them know that he/she ate a balloon . That is really a serious problem balloons like plastic do not digest in their stomach but what happens is it get's stuck in their intestines and can rupture them and lead to death . Please see your vet immediately otherwise your cat might suffer a cruel death. Sorry to be so blunt i don't mean to scare you . Good luck

I would take her to the vet. It could be blocking her intestines or something. The vet may need to move it, or maybe s/he would just say to let it pass. It is not worth risking. I would just pay the money to make sure she is okay. Good luck with everything!
