My son and his soon exwife r getting devorce because she still wants to party they married young he is now 22 and she is going to be 21. Well they were married for 3yrs grandaughter is going to be 3yrs in march. The baby and exdaughter in law lived with her mom. Her mom went to get temp custy of the baby when daughter in law wasnt no where to be found because she wanted to party, and my son was in jail doing 7 days, he couldnt get custy of the baby because of a restraion order between my son and his wife and the baby. Any how the judge granted her temp custy of the baby now within 1 month came the perment custy of the baby my son wasnt going to give up his wrights. so at the perment custy of the baby, there are going to investagate my son now , He doesnt have a job he sleeps in my living room . So my question is he want to sign his parents rights over to me because i could care for the baby my exmother is wicked and hates my son so she will do anything so he cant raise he

get a lawyer and find out all the legal ways to do it. if you have a decent income from which you can assure that baby`s future than you have a chance..

Wow nice couple, she takes off to party and he is in jail - thank god they reproduced! Why was there a retraining order?
Just because the grmo has custody that doesnt mean your son looses his rights. He could still get visitation. He cant "give you" his rights. He has has rights either he uses them or not. You could apply for custody of the child on your own but it sounds like the child is safe and well taken care of by the other grmo and unless that changes would be best off staying there.

you can get a lawyer and try, but its not likely you will win... why is it bad that HER mother has the baby? if there is some reason that the Other grandmother shouldnt have the baby, then fight... if it is just because your son doesnt want the other grandma to have the baby, then you have no case

get a lawyer and start fighting and pay high money and get a good fight ing lawyer you may get the baby. you have to have proof but hey who knows maybe you'll get the baby.
