The class II trailer tow package is standard equipment on this vehicle so it is easy to plug in the wiring. Just look for the plug. It is back by the hitch. there is probably a plug cover on it. just uncover it & plug it in.
If you dont have a wiring harness, then you'll have to go to the Ford dealer or an auto parts store & buy one (they're cheap) but one should have been in the glovebox when you bought it (new). If you bought it used & the previous owner did not leave it with the vehicle then it's 'off to the store' for you

There should be a wire harness somewhere under the rear bumper of your vehicle. Plug it into the harness from the trailer.

take it to a rental yard like U-haul and have them show you, or just rent a dolly or small trailer for a hour and have them hook up the lights. That way they'll do all the work :)
