going to work on the tyne and wear metro this morning heading to newcastle, but on the way at central station the metros were called off due to heavy police actions and no one is allowed to travel through newcastle on the metro lines, any suggestions what it might be, or does any one know what has happened?

it was just a polish nutter sleeping in the station overnight when asked to leave he said he had bomb

I heard this report in Australia. They reported that they suspected that it was the work of a disgruntled worker - not terrorists.
