I drink more than five large 20oz. diet Sunkist sodas daily. They keep me full in between small meals. But I am wondering if they are also causing my weight to stay steady when I should be losing. My caloric intake is low enough for a loss. Could the sodas be a reason I am staying at one weight? Thanks

Salt does cause alot of weight problems, and diet drinks do have it. Also diet drinks make you more hungry, and in general they are bad. Mineral water type flavours like Lemon Lime and Orange are almost as good and have heaps less calories. If you drink too much aspartame you can get headaches etc and it just does not make you feel good. Diet drinks are not worth it.

I was on a strict diet for many months and losing weight without diet soda. I started drinking diet soda again last summer and my weight started to increase even though my diet hadn't changed. I am not sure if it is the diet soda that caused the weight gain or maybe some other factor . Just thought I would share my experience thanks.

Diet Sodas still contain sodium which is salty and causes your body to retain water.. so you can be bloated from water weight by drinking diet colas..

However, water weight is easily shed. Stop drinking/eating substances with salt and you'll drop several pounds suddenly. Make sure you continue to drink lots of water during this time.

Im not to sure I used to drink coke all day everyday and stayed tiny, I gave up the full strength and started drinking diet coke and i stacked on the weight. someone told me it was because its full of salt but somone else told me thats not true. These days I find munching on ice keeps me feeling full because im chewing on it all the time it distracts me from wanting anything else, sounds weird I know but it truly works.

In the mood for any hot meal? Make a huge pot of veggie bean soups, divide into two-cup containers, and store within the freezer. Before bed, place a container within the fridge, then grab it before heading out the door in the morning.
