If I were to get a cat, what vaccinations would I need to give her regularly, how often and how much would they cost? The cat has had her first innoculations, has been neutered and micro-chipped.

You need Rabies and FELV (feline distmeper) yearly. If your cat goes outside then you will also need a Feline Leukemia vaccine. When you go in for these you may want to get a fecal exam as well to check for intestinal parasites. The price of these will vary from vet to vet. You can compare prices before deciding. It is very important that you do get the vaccines on an annual basis. It wouldn't be fair to your cat if it got sick and you could have prevented it. Good luck with your new pet. :)

I am in the UK - and will no doubt be thumbs downed and flamed royally for this answer - but I have three cats and not one is vaccinated - the reason been that my neighbours cats were ALL vaccinated - one day she asked me if I could do the same with mine - I mentioned to her that as long as hers were vaccinated then what was the problem - they couldn't catch anything from mine as they had their jabs - apaprently not - when I called the Vets I found out that my cats could catch something from hers and hers from mine - so whats the point in having any of them vaccinated?? another money making scam from the vets!!!!

FLAME ME!!!! go on!!!!

Rabies and Distemper are the main ones. You can get a 3 year Rabie Shot for thm, and you have to go yearly for the Distemper. The Vet will also advise you as to what else you need. Don't forget the Nail trim every now and then. Get your cat checked for Feline HIV also. Do not freak out its just a measure to make sure they are healthy

The price varies depending on where you live, but she needs the basic flu and enteritis vaccination (about £27 here) once a year and there's an extra one against feline leukaemia (about £12), but again it depends on where you live as to how prevalent the disease is. I would definitely get the first one anyway.
