Reclined but not to a fully lying down position. About a 35 degree angle. Lying down puts less pressure on your spine. Sitting is actually the worst thing you can do to prevent spinal pain.

How about helping you get rid of your pain?
For full information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies it deals with muscles, pain and referred pain caused because of the muscles being too tight.
